Contact phoneswitcher (We Are Not O2)
Here is every way to reach phoneswitcher directly, plus what to expect when you do. If you actually need O2, the section below gives you O2's published contact channels.
We are not O2
phoneswitcher is an independent information and advisory service. We have no affiliation with Virgin Media O2 or Telefónica UK Limited. We cannot access, view or change anything on an O2 account, issue a refund, cancel or amend a contract, or fix a network fault. Only O2 can do any of that.
If you contact us, we can talk through your bill and translate the line items into plain English. We can also help you plan what to say before you contact O2 yourself. We never contact O2 on your behalf and we never connect your call through to O2.
You can also contact O2 directly through these published channels:
- 202 (free to call from an O2 mobile): 202 (verified 31 Oct 2026)
- 0344 809 0202 from other phones: 0344 809 0202 (verified 31 Oct 2026)
- +44 7860 980 202 from abroad: +44 7860 980 202 (verified 31 Oct 2026)

By email
Write to us at . Tell us roughly what the query is about — a bill, a price rise, roaming, or a contract end date. Let us know if you have your latest bill to hand, so an adviser can reply with something useful on the first try.
By post
Post is the slowest route and is best kept for anything that needs a paper trail, such as a formal complaint about us. For a same-day question about your bill, phone or email is quicker.
What happens when you contact us
An independent UK adviser working with phoneswitcher reads or takes your query and responds in plain English. On a call, the adviser will first say who they are. They will confirm what phoneswitcher can and cannot do before going anywhere near your bill. Nothing is actioned on an O2 account during or after the conversation, because we have no access to one.
Some questions only O2 can answer, such as a credit being applied or a fault being logged. We tell you clearly when that is the case, and set out what to say and which department to ask for. The decision and the outcome always sit with O2, not with us.
A genuine contact with phoneswitcher never asks for your O2 password, PIN, one-time passcode or payment card details. If someone contacting you claims to be phoneswitcher and asks for any of these, treat it as a scam and stop the conversation.
Questions worth answering before you get in touch
A short answer usually needs less back-and-forth than a long one, so a little preparation on your side helps:
- What changed — a new charge, a higher total, a letter about a price rise, or a contract end date approaching?
- When you first noticed it, and whether it has happened before.
- Whether you are still inside your minimum term or already out of contract.
- Roughly what you are paying now and what the bill or letter says the new amount will be.
None of this is required. It simply means the first reply you get is more likely to answer the actual question rather than ask for the details first.
If you need a different way to get in touch
If a phone call does not suit you, email is the easiest alternative and there is no requirement to call first. If you need O2's accessibility support for something only O2 can action, O2 publishes a dedicated accessibility channel, which the Reach O2 section above links to.
If you are contacting us on behalf of someone else, such as a relative, say so when you get in touch. This applies if they have asked you to look into their bill. We can still only explain what the figures and terms mean in general; we cannot look up or change anyone's individual account, named or otherwise.
